Motley Fool “Income Investor”
I have subscribed to this for a few months now and think they do a great job of finding the best dividend stocks and carefully analyzing whether each company has got what it takes to survive (lots of back-up cash, low debt, etc.) and whether its dividend will be preserved intact. They are currently working to narrow the list to the “50 Best.” All the articles are interesting and I learn a lot about various industries. It’s all written in a way that’s easy to understand.

I have been an “Income Investor” Suscriber for a little over a year, and unlike other products from the Motley Fool that I have subscribed to, this is the only one that has NOT crushed me. Sound offerings, sound strategy, and they lean a little toward the conservative side (perfect in this market, IMHO). Still think it is a little expensive for what you get but I will stick with this one for a little while longer. I have tried some of their other newsletters and have gotten beaten to a pulp with every recommedation I bought except for Netflix (and I got out of that one on my own in order to pocketed some profits.) So what I am saying is that I will stick with Income Investor for now, but will continue to use other sources as the Motley Fool recommendations have lost me about 30%-50%. I just subscribed to “Utility Investor,” and will report back on how that one stacks up versus the Fool after a few months.

Subscribed for two years,[2007 and 08]..not the best of years. Original teaser subscription was for two years at a reasonable price..believe it was $150-175. To reup the subscription was one year $150 ! [no subsequent offers]. Too rich for me…At $100/yr I’d have reupped.
James seems to be an upright guy, follows up his recmnd.in a newsy way. However,is slow to pull the plug on slowly sinking stocks…too many are left on “Hold” for too long.

I agree the fool stays in stocks to long . I was already in Tesla when they recommended it . I had gotten in it about 600. When it jumped to 900, I was surprised the fool still had a buy and hold. The stock dropped and has come back , but I made a lot more money jumping in and out of it Just like now I believe the option will have it come back down from the 900’s again.
